Duane Laflin speaks from experience. AFter many years of performing in touring shows, and working as a speciality act in a variety of venues around the world, he and his wife, Mary, entered the theater business. Since then, for more than ten years, they have survived and thrived in the challenging usiness of putting on an illusion show in the same place night after night.

This book offers information difficult to find and rarely shared. There are not many who have found success by way of putting on a magic show in their own theater. There are even less who are willing to share their secrets.

In 2012, Duane released a book title On Stage With Illusion which received rave reviews. That book was primarily about the work of an illusionist. The Theatrical Illusion Show is a followup to that book, but with different emphasis. It focuses on the illusion show itself and the business of promoting it.

Learn how to write a show, how to create promotional materials, how to market a show, what to know about purchasing equipment, how to respond to criticism, how to keep up yoru energy when doing the same show repeatedly, how to put personality into your effects, how to organize backstage, what to know about lighting a show and much more! You will find many practical and specific details. Duane's advice is designed to spare you from having to learn things the hard way.

About Duane Laflin: Performances on five continents, in eighteen countries, and in forty-seven of the fifty states are evidence to the popularly and commercial appeal of his work. He was a star performer in the Magic Beyond Belief show in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, for three seasons. The show featured tigers and other exotic animals, along with many wonderful illusions. He now is the star and producer of the Grand Magic Show, which first was at the Grand Majestic Theater in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and since then has moved to Duane's own theater in South Dakota, near Mount Rushmore.

Along with his practical experience, Duane is the recipient of numerous awards and honors in magic, including being made a member of the Inner Magic Circle with Gold Star.
